My name is Anthony John Burke and I’m a communications and data visualization professional. I specialize in humanitarian communications, graphic design, illustration, photography, animation and video. I currently work as a public information officer with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. I spend my time between Bangkok, Thailand and Juba, South Sudan.
I started out working in the print media sector as a graphic designer with a local newspaper company in Cork City, Ireland before moving to Southeast Asia. I worked as a freelance designer in Bangkok before branching out into the humanitarian sector as a multimedia and data visualization specialist. I now have close to 10 years experience working with the United Nations and over fifteen years’ experience as a graphic designer. The programs I use on a daily basis include Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro, Fresco as well as Microsoft Office. I've designed, developed and maintained websites using WordPress, HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks.
I’m a reliable, creative communications and data visualization officer who delivers with a smile. I enjoy the challenges I face each day, the rewards of working in the humanitarian sector and welcome the opportunity to work with you in the future.
